I'm Naja! I'm one of the genealogists with Tangled Roots Research. My cousin Teresa and I are so passionate about genealogy research. We could literally do this ALL day. As a result, there is so much we want to tell you about. We decided the best way to do that is to bring you a weekly blog. There's a bunch of topics we want to cover, so you can keep checking back and there will always be something new!

Since this is the first post, I'll tell you a but more about us. As I said, I'm Naja, I live in Georgia. Teresa lives in North Carolina. She is my 1st cousin once removed or my second cousin, depending on how you count. Actually, that may be a good topic to discuss, let me add that to my list! Our shared family hails from Bladen County, NC. Our family heritage inspired the name of our company! It's complicated some times. Some branches overlap and some seem to go in a circle! If you have relatives from the area, I'm sure we are cousins! For a long time, I was the only one on our branch of the family that was doing genealogy research. A few years ago Teresa got into it. We realized we each take a different approach to researching and our styles compliment one another very well! We also found that these historical documents are almost like their own language. This language that we are fluent in is confusing to many others. Tangled Roots Research is our way of serving as a translator for you. Bring us your family history questions and mysteries, and we will do our best to translate for you!

Now that you know a bit more about us, we hope you'll check in weekly to see what's new! Until next week, keep searching!
